Helping you navigate through a complex situation
The TAC is a ‘no-fault’ insurance scheme owned by the Victorian Government. This means if you are injured in a transport accident in Victoria you can make a TAC claim to help pay for the treatment and support you need, even if the accident was your fault. WeKare provides affordable, strengths-based case management services for clients who have sustained injuries resulting from a transport accident.
Our Case Managers can assist with the following:
- Finding sustainable accommodation.
- Supporting our client to make informed decisions and exercise choice and control in their lives – where necessary utilising a supported decision making framework.
- Facilitating transition planning, such as from a secure environment into the community.
- Overseeing and 'walking' the client through complex legal matters, such as custodial issues or criminal charges.
- Supporting our client to re-establish their role in the community, at home, in school, at work and in leisure activities.
- Supporting our client in their reunification with significant others.
- Supporting our client in specific matters which require advocacy, utilising both a supported advocacy framework and building self-advocacy skills.
- Linking the client in with mainstream services.
- Crisis management planning and development of self-managing skills and strategies.
Our comprehensive TAC case management, NDIS core supports and capacity building services are offered throughout Greater Shepparton, Mitchell, Moira, Murrindindi and Strathbogie Shires.
